Amazing YellowStone!!!

Hey folks,
I am finally back from my trip to YellowStone National Park. And i cannot fine more than ONE word to describe the experience - "AMAZING"!!!!

I was so awed by the place that I have now started working on making a full fledged movie file on the YNP. I had more than a thousand pictures taken and therefore would make very good content for it. Also, i was very happy again with my camera and the way the pictures turned out. I shall put more pictures later or directly upload the movie file.

Land of Extremes:

It definitely was a land of extremes. The whole park was much much bigger than the state of New Jersey and i was already feeling i had too little time to enjoy each and everything in the place. But to name a few, lets begin here:
1)Geyser Basins - Its a natural wonder to watch these hot springs and Geysers all over the place. And even more amazing is the Old Faithful - which erupts faithfully every 88 minutes! I must have seen like a couple of hundered geysers..

2)The YellowStone Lake - Doesnt look like a lake - more like a Sea ...but without the waves...

3)The Wildlife - - we had quite a few close encounters with bears and wild bison...just to name a few

4)The Cabin we stayed in - was typical moutain lodge and we even put up a tent and had a campfire in the night...and got all drunk...:-p

the tent that we put up...

our cute li'l log cabin

5)The Mammoth Hot Springs - An ultimate wonder in limestone formations with geysers on top of it - looks like Mars or Venus there - no chance you would think it was earth.

6) The Grand tetons - amazing mountain peaks with lots of lakes 9000ft above the sea level...In peak Summer, you can still see the snow capped peaks...

amazing reflections while we await wildlife to come out of the forests..

7) Snake River, white water raftinng, boating

And of course, the beautiful sunrise and sunset that you can see only in the unpolluted mountainous regions - this is my favourite pic.

Aint i Good????

these are just a few things in the park.
More pictures later :-)
