The Woods are Lovely, Dark and Deep...

"The woods are lovely, dark and deep" - Thus spake Robert Frost almost a century ago. I only came to know very recently that the woods he was referring to was the White Mountain National Forest in New Hampshire. Now, how many of us know that? I was lost in these lovely, deep and dark woods all this weekend, driving the BEST machine on the roads yet (the Infiniti FX sporty SUV), on the scenic Kancamagus Highway.

The first element of sheer pleasure on this trip was of course driving my infiniti. It has everything. Period! It begs to be driven...it is a beast of a machine. What else can i say? Check the bottom picture, of my favourite vehicle, in my favourite color.

I tried my hand at photography again, this time a bit more seriously than then previous attempts and i was on the happier side about the results. The kancamagus highway is a continuous stretch of waterfalls, creeks, hiking trails and COVERED BRIDGES. There was one excellent covered bridge at the Albany Creek on the highway, which was built in 1857 but was in great condition and i could actually drive through it.

There were tons of waterfalls and private creeks and trails...again, the pictures would best speak for themselves. The covered bridge can be seen below, along with the very first fall colored leaf...
